Whether it’s caused by a mistake when balancing your checkbook or an unexpected expense, accidentally spending or withdrawing more money than you have in your checking account is a common mistake. To help protect our members from denied transactions, returned checks, and excessive fees, we offer money-saving products and services that can take the sting out of an overdraft.

Overdraft Transfers

Let your Alltrust Credit Union savings account save you from an overdraft, with Overdraft Transfers. This service lets you connect your savings account to your checking account. That way, if an overdraft occurs, money can automatically be moved to cover it, for a fee of just $10 per transfer.

Overdraft Privilege Program

We know how embarrassing and inconvenient a bounced check can be. That’s why we offer the Overdraft Privilege Program to all of our members. Here’s how it works: If there isn’t enough money in your checking account to complete a transaction, Alltrust Credit Union may choose to pay the overdrawn amount. That way, you can avoid having your payment declined and you won’t get hit with a nonsufficient funds fee or a returned check fee. Members who use this service will still be subject to our standard overdraft fee.*

The Overdraft Privilege Program is available on all eligible checking accounts. You do not have to apply or sign any additional documents to use this service for checks, ACH payments, or recurring debit card payments. It is already a part of your Checking Account Agreement with us.

You can also choose to extend this protection to ATM and everyday debit card transactions. Opt in online, by phone, or at a branch.

*If you use Overdraft Privilege you will be subject to our customary fees set out in our Fee Schedule and Overdraft Privilege Policy.
